An NFL Baller On A 60,000 Budget: Ryan Broyles
What would you do with a $1 million salary? Would you imagine only living on $60,000 of it and saving the rest? Well that’s exactly what our guest tonight decided to do. Ryan Broyles, former wide receiver for the Detroit Lions was so committed to financial freedom, that he decided that he and his family would have a frugal lifestyle, even though he was in the NFL.
Ryan was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft and was named Rookie of the Year. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, set the all-time NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision record for career receptions, and was twice recognized as a consensus All-American.
He has actively invested in Real Estate since 2012, and started with his first rental property then soon after bought a foreclosed property. He studied and learned from many great investors that have come before him.
In 2013, he started the Ryan Broyles Foundation, which strives to develop young people’s lifelong Christian based leadership skills, with a focus on education, nutrition, healthy lifestyle, life skills and community service.
