Tisa Silver: Time Value of Life
Student Loan Debt has surpassed credit card debt as the number one weight strangling American households. Student loan delinquency has risen more in this quarter than both mortgages and credit cards. More and more students depend on loans for an education without knowing the net worth of their degrees. One result is that many students find themselves working to pay off debt instead of using that time to build wealth.
My next guest is someone that is very familiar with the subject of student loans. Tisa Silver is Assistant Director for Financial Education and Wellness at the University of Maryland. She’s also written a book about the time value of money called, “The Time Value of Life: Why Time is More Valuable than Money.”
